JIM CURREY

Jim Currey brings to the WSOC board expert local knowledge from his lifetime in agribusiness. This practical experience ensures its priority remains securing the best price for members. Jim believes the co-operative is in a unique position to understand the variable local conditions that affect growers. In a boom or bust market he is proud the WSOC is there to serve members through the good times and bad. He is focused on delivering good business strategy to ensure the co-operative continues to strengthen its capital base while continuing to diversify its interests including packing facilities and retail opportunities. He regards the offering of grower's insurance to co-operative members by the WSOC to be an important and successful service that protects the livelihood of grain growers. Jim was appointed to the WSOC board in 2004 and completed the Company Director Training (TAFE NSW).
